Training facilities

Dhruva has a campus called Namma Bhoomi (Our Land), in Udupi district located at the foothills of the Western Ghats on the bank of the river Varahi. The 6.25-acre campus has residential accommodation, conference facilities, a residential doctor, infirmary and a computer lab.

Easily accessible by road and air, Namma Bhoomi is designed by experienced architects to blend in with the natural surroundings, to be safe and fun for children. The serene atmosphere is ideal for adults and children alike to get away from their daily routine and reflect, share and learn together.

However, on request, courses may be conducted at other venues in which the participants are most comfortable with the assistance of translators.

Library services

The ‘Dhruva’ library houses a comprehensive collection of books, videos, CDs, periodicals and journals on the issue of children’s rights, Participation and Governance. Library services include access to catalogue, reference assistance, bibliographies and access to photocopier, along with Internet access.

Medium of training

The medium of training is primarily in English or Kannada. However courses are conducted in languages in which the participants are most comfortable with the assistance of translators.
