Here are the glimpses of the Makkala Gram Sabhas held across the state of Karnataka through March 2022. At Kambadakone panchayat, Kundapur taluk, Udupi district. Issues raised by members of Bhima Sangha and Makkala Sangha, supported by The Concerned For Working Children, such as repair of school compound wall and toilets, cleaning of the premises around the school and provision of sports materials have already been addressed during the Gram Sabhas and that can be seen as signified by the 4 white ribbons tied to the tree in the panchayat premises by the children.

Members of Bhima Sangha from Bannikallu panchayat, Vijayanagar district also presented their concerns of working children from the panchayat at the Makkala Gram Sabhas being held across the state. They are also seen involved in the red – white ribbon process used as a visible method of social monitoring by Bhima Sangha.

In the Makkala Gram Sabhas held in Kombli and Sovenahalli panchayats, Hagaribommanahalli taluk, Vijayanagar district members of Bhima Sangha actively raised the issues faced not only by them but by their entire communities. They demanded for time bound resolutions to the same.
