Children’s Manifesto by Members of the Bhima Sangha

Children Are Citizens Today

On April 30, 2023, on the occasion of National Child Labour Day and the founding day of the Bhima Sangha (Asia’s first union of working children and adolescents), 30 members of the Bhima Sangha represented their peer members of Hagaribommanahalli and Huvina Hadagali Taluk, Vijayanagara district, to present the manifesto developed by the Bhima Sangha demanding accountability from the Candidates contesting the Karnataka State Elections. Through the manifesto, they highlighted the need for all candidates to prioritise children and adolescents’ rights and issues in their manifestos.
